The countdown to my wedding is on (7 months, if you’re interested), and right now I’m on the hunt for the best bride pyjamas for me to strut about in on the morning of.
Buying your wedding dress is the most important thing when it comes to planning, granted, but investing in some chic bridal nightwear is up there too. It’s just as exciting, especially when you match them with your bridesmaid robes/kimonos, and they’ll become as much of a memorable part of your day as your wedding shoes or wedding jewellery. Your nightwear is the first ‘outfit’ people will see you in, after all.

Whether you’re looking for a sleek and sexy bridal lingerie set you can re-wear on your honeymoon, or something a bit more comfy and covering, a pair of bride PJs is a key part of the getting-ready process of a wedding morning. Those of you who have been bridesmaids before will know how long it can take to do hair and makeup (up to six hours, apparently), and that some of the nicest photographs you’ll have from the day can occur during this time, so why not wear something special for the occasion?

There are a few things to consider before you get browsing bridal pyjamas, though; namely the fabric, length, and personalisation and colour options. If you’re getting married in the summer you’ll likely want something lightweight like a cami and shorts set, whereas winter may call for a warmer pair of long sleeve satin pyjamas. Then there’s the question of whether or not you go for something you’ll only wear the once (this is your one chance to wear a ‘team bride’ PJ set, remember) or again and again.
Pastel shades like white, rose gold and pink are usually the go-to, but don’t be afraid of exploring floral patterns and brighter shades. Consider this an opportunity for your ‘something blue’, too, with a pair of sky-hued bride-to-be PJs, or go for total princess vibes with some trending feather pyjamas.
