The royal family’s social media accounts on Wednesday posted a video of Kate Middleton visiting the hospital where she was treated for cancer last year.
Kate and her husband Prince William’s Instagram account “The Prince and Princess of Wales” was used to share the clip on Tuesday.
Kate’s visit to the medial facility marked her first appearance of the year.
The Royal Family account on Instagram originally belongs to King Charles and Queen Camilla but it occasionally posts videos and pictures of other senior members of family.
It was the first social media post featuring Kate Middleton which the King Charles’ accounts on X and Instagram re-shared for his followers.
The last time “The Royal Family” social media shared Kate’s pictures and video was when she hosted Christmas Carol Concert.
A statement was also issued by the royal family on Kate’s visit which said:
“The Princess of Wales has joined The Prince of Wales to become Joint Patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
The patronage update has been announced following a visit by Her Royal Highness to the hospital’s Chelsea site and follows The Princess’ own personal cancer journey, during which she received treatment from The Royal Marsden.
The visit saw Her Royal Highness meet patients undergoing treatment as well as staff working in different roles across the hospital.
The Royal Marsden opened its doors in 1851 as the world’s first hospital dedicated to cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and education. Today, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a world-leading cancer centre operating across three sites in Chelsea, Sutton and Cavendish Square in central London.
The Prince of Wales held the role of President of The Royal Marsden from 2007; a position which was previously held by his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.”
