Matthew Perry’s former Pacific Palisades residence, where the beloved Friends actor tragically passed away in October 2023, was saved from the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

Anita Verma-Lallian, the current owner of the property, confirmed in an Instagram post on Friday that the home was spared due to the collective efforts of the Palisades community.

According to Daily Mail, Verma-Lallian, who purchased the house in an off-market deal in October 2024 for $8.55 million, expressed her gratitude, by writing, “We want to express our deepest gratitude to the brave firefighters, our amazing neighbors, and the entire Palisades community for their help, strength, and support during this heartbreaking time.”

Moreover, Verma-Lallian, a real estate developer and film producer, also acknowledged her realtor, Brooke Elliott Laurinkus, for monitoring the property and ensuring its safety during the natural disaster.

Additionally, she thanked Laurinkus for “keeping us updated on everything happening” and assisting those in need of temporary shelter amid the crisis.

As per the publication, the Palisades Fire, one of three major wildfires currently ravaging Southern California, has scorched over 15,000 acres and destroyed approximately 1,000 structures.

Although the fire came dangerously close to the late actor’s former home, it survived despite being within the incident perimeter earlier this week.

In regards to this, Verma-Lallian shared updates on Instagram, assuring followers that her family was safe and extending thoughts and prayers to others affected by the wildfires as she stated, “Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by this tragedy, and we hope we can come together to heal, protect, and rebuild what’s been lost.”

Furthermore, the home, which Perry purchased in 2020 for $6 million, had undergone significant renovations by the late actor, including interior design upgrades and personal touches like artwork featuring his favorite superhero, Batman
