According to a tipster named Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the Oppo Find N5 is set to launch in China next month in February. The device reportedly codenamed “Haiyan,” might dominate the foldable market for nearly six months due to a lack of competition from other brands until July.
The phone is rumoured to feature a Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera setup, including a periscope lens, and support satellite communication. It is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, boast a large 6,000mAh battery, and include wireless charging capabilities.
According to the tipster, the Oppo Find N5 is expected to feature a slimmer profile than its predecessor, the Oppo Find N3, which measures 11.7mm. The device is also said to debut with a “new industrial design” that emphasises durability. Additionally, the foldable phone is rumoured to come with an IPX8 rating, offering resistance against splashes.
In a separate post, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the Oppo Find N5 would be the “world’s thinnest” foldable smartphone and could feature a titanium build.
