It appears that Hollywood icon Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson may leave their Pacific Palisades home despite their mansion escaping the devastating LA wildfires.

According to Daily Mail, Hanks and Wilson’s $26 million mansion in Pacific Palisades was not damaged by the LA wildfire, even though the wildfire has caused a lot of damage in the area.

Both husband and wife, who are 68 years old, feel “blessed,” but they are struggling with “survivor’s guilt” and are not sure if they want to stay.

An insider told the same outlet, saying, “Tom Hanks is dealing with a form of survivor’s guilt as his home is currently unscathed.”

The source shared, “He knows that he still isn’t out of the woods, and he feels terrible about all his neighbours and friends who have lost everything while his place is still standing.”

“They don’t know how they will wrap their heads around this,” adding, “They feel blessed that their home is still standing but they haven’t decided what they are going to do next.”

“It would be very weird to stay once all the dust settles in a place surrounded by nobody, but those decisions will be made in the weeks and months to come,” the insider concluded.

For the unversed, Hanks and Wilson’s 4,513-square-foot home was far enough from their neighbour’s house, which was completely destroyed by the fire.

Notably, the couple bought the four-bedroom and five-bathroom house in 2010.
